The "9MW offshore forged main shaft of wind turbine " and "High strength and high toughness cast main shaft of wind turbine" independently developed by the company have passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements.

On April 28, 2023, Tongyu Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. commissioned the Shandong Machinery Industry Science and Technology Association to organize industry experts, and held the scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting of "9MW offshore forged main shaft of wind turbine" and "high-strength and high-toughness casting main shaft of wind turbine" in the form of an online conference. The appraisal committee is composed of seven experts, including Professor Jing.Cainian of Shandong Jianzhu University, Professor Tian.Xuelei of Shandong University, Professor Wang.Hongyan of Jinan University, Professor Wang.Shouren of Jinan University, Professor Zhao.Haibin of Shandong University of Technology, Professor Tang.Bingtao of Qilu University of Technology and senior engineer Yin.Liang of Shandong Mechanical Design and Research Institute.


After careful discussion by the participants, the appraisal committee agreed that the 9MW offshore forged main shaft of wind turbine is currently the world's largest forged main shaft, which fully reflects the company's comprehensive manufacturing strength and technical equipment advantages of the whole industry chain from steel ingot smelting, forging, heat treatment, machining, painting, etc. High strength and high toughness casting main shaft of wind turbine, developed the main shaft forging metal mold casting process, improved the casting process, improved the casting shaft microstructure properties, reduced the casting weight, reduced costs, and improved market competitiveness. The overall technical indicators of the two products have reached the international advanced level.

In terms of wind power forging main shaft, in the future, with the completion and operation of the 70,000-ton heavy die forging press produced by the large wind power forging shaft under construction by the company, the current free forging process will be upgraded to the "net near-forming" die forging process, and the forging main shaft will continue to reduce cost, increase efficiency and improve quality. In terms of wind power casting shafts, the company takes full advantage of being the first to enter the wind power casting shafts market and achieve a first-mover advantage in mass production, as well as the company's comprehensive advantages in the casting and machining links to maintain a leading position in casting spindles. In the field of wind power key core components, the company will continue to give full play to the advantages of state-owned enabling and comprehensive R & D and manufacturing platforms, and constantly innovate and optimize the three product types of wind power shaft, wind power castings and wind power structural parts, helping the Group to build a first-class new energy industrial cluster in the country, and contributing to the continuous expansion of China's wind power industry chain and global wind power industry influence.
