On June 11, 2025, Tongyu Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. successfully delivered the first set of rough-machined forged blanks for 6G80ME marine low-speed diesel engine semi-built crankshafts to Dalian Huarui Marine Crankshaft Co., Ltd.This semi-built crankshaft belongs to the large-bore series of heavy-duty marine low-speed engines, with each forged blank weighing 350 tons and the rough-machined delivery weight reaching approximately 240 tons. The company maintained strict quality control throughout production, and the product successfully passed the DNV-classified performance and non-destructive testing (NDT), ensuring the successful delivery of the first set.

The successful delivery of the first 6G80ME crankshaft forgings has resolved a long-standing challenge in China's domestic production of large-bore, heavy-duty crankshaft blanks, further strengthening the "mutually beneficial and win-win" strategic partnership between the company and Dalian Huarui Marine Crankshaft Co., Ltd.Under the "1122" strategic layout of the Marine & Offshore Engineering Division—which focuses on "one aviation, one high-end equipment, two marine sectors (overseas & offshore), and two emerging fields (new energy & new materials)"—this achievement provides solid confidence for further expansion in the shipbuilding and offshore engineering markets.

Leveraging the successful delivery of the first 6G80ME crankshaft forgings, Tongyu Heavy Industry will fully capitalize on its strengths, driving innovation and pursuing excellence. We look forward to securing future opportunities for larger-scale semi-built crankshaft forged blanks for marine low-speed diesel engines in collaboration with our clients. Together, we will forge ahead and create a brighter future.
